When I opened the living room window this morning, I saw our local heron having a break on the wall. He managed to stay there for about 5mins then a person walking by disturbed him, and he flew off.

Pub Window View
On Tuesday it was Yule, and I'm fortunate to have an understanding boss, who gave me the day off. Hubby and I spent most of the day relaxing but did go up to the city to take advantage of late night shopping. We were looking for a winter coat for me and some walking style boots/shoes for hubby. We found a coat for me but sadly not the boots. I ended up getting a gorgeous, black, military style wool-mix coat from Next. Really lovely styling but will have to restitch all buttons soon - as always. Not bothered by this as I seem to have to do this for all coats and jackets I have had. We tried one last shop on the way home. No boots but found an old friend of mine working there. Hadn't seen her in about 6yrs.
We decided to take shelter in a pub on the way home, and have a wee drink. This photo was the view from our cosy seat inside the pub.

So far the free blogger app is doing a pretty decent job. I have had to adjust the page layout, picture widths and picture placements via the P.C. So apart from my picky fine tuning, this blog is composed on android :)
Retro Camera App
In the last few days I have been lucky enough to find a retro camera app for my phone. So far, I am obsessed with it. My dog dutifully posed so that I could test all lenses and settings, which gave me a reasonable idea of what the app can do. Be prepared for many retro pics, from this blog onwards :)
This pic was taken using the fudge camera setting on the retro app.

Elvis Face
My dog has had a habit for years of occasionally sleeping on her face. This sometimes leads to her teeth drying out, which makes her lips stick to them, which results in much hilarity until dog licks her teeth. Her Elvis face, as we like to call it, has never before been captured on camera. Normally by the time you've noticed, laughed, gotten a camera and set it up, the dog has regained her composure. The other day dog had Elvis face for almost 5mins. Which accounts for this photo, and this blog

Adjustments
Ok so the blogger app that I am using (blogaway) really doesn't like adding more than 1 photo to a blog post. As you can see from last post, it will do it, but doesn't like to.
I had to add one photo, post blog, go back into blog to edit it, add another pic, post again, which then makes blogaway cry and die, start up app again, go into the post and repeat process til all your pics are added
The other crappy thing about this app is that you have no control over where your uploaded media goes in your blog post. This means that if you are a perfectionist like me, you will have to edit posts on a P.C at some point, in order to make things look pretty.
For a free blogger app, blogaway is pretty decent, but I will be keeping my eyes open for another blogger app.
Frozen
We have been having some crazy, cold weather here over the last few weeks. I have taken a few pictures of the various frosty things I have seen.
At work, there was a small leak which encased the outside of the shop in clear, thick ice. The door handle and window sills had about an inch of solid ice on them.
Our local park had snow sculptures of elephants, dogs shagging, snow men that had died in the great snow war and various other wonders. My dog thought the park was awesome. Loads of things to lick and run around!
Location
Just noticed my post claims I posted from 9 Warriston Rd. Very odd, as I'm pretty sure that's a bird house or a hedge, and I can assure you all I am posting from my couch. So don't go looking for me in hedges on Warriston Rd, I'm just not there!

The Beginning
Recently, I have been fortunate enough to have got my paws on an android phone. I'm hoping that I will now be able to update my blogs easier, and therefore keep up to date(ish).
I have started this blog to keep track of things that I have seen, when with my 'droid buddy. Most of the posts will be done from my phone, using media that has also been captured with my mobile. If a post or a photo has been done another way, I will let you know.
At the point of posting, my blog has no background themes or layout. This can't be fixed from 'droid, but I will fix asap from my P.C. In the meantime, I apologise for the drabness of my blog, and hope you can enjoy it anyway.
